- What is the Preschool Program:
- The Springfield PreSchool Program is a child development program. The objective of this program is to help develop, in collaboration with the parent or guardian, the child’s fundamental motor skills using soccer as a common thread.
- Eligibility:
- Must be at least 3-years-old by March 31st for the Spring Season and August 31st for the Fall Season.
- Must not be older than 5-years-old at the beginning of the current school calendar year (Sept.-June).

- Meets for 40-50 minutes every Saturday between 9am-1pm (no mid-week practices)

- What to bring:
- Ball Size 3 – Provided to Each Player
- Have the children wear their AYSO provided t-shirts.
- All players must wear shin-guards and soccer cleats. Socks need to be worn over shin-guards, not under.

- What to expect:
- They will practice different skills and fundamentals while enjoying age appropriate games and competition.

PreSchool Volunteer Roles:
- Lead small group activities through a rotation of the various skills.
- Lead a team during scrimmage. Scrimmaging is done in a round-robin. Two teams play, one team sits out. Rotate every 5 minutes.
Who will be coaching?
- The children will be coached by AYSO volunteers including the Program Director Brian Michaels as well as select University of Oregon students.
